Regain a vision for your life!
Hi. I’m Nancy Solari, Founder of Living Full Out.
If you’re visually-impaired, as I am…
Are you afraid of walking down stairs for fear that you might not see a step and fall?
Are you intimidated to go out at night because you can’t see anything in the dark?
Do you not go out with your friends because you’re embarrassed and ashamed of your vision loss?
Do you not date because it’s harder to see your dates and you don’t want to settle for less than you know you deserve?
Do you feel disconnected if you’re in a place and can only hear voices and not connect those voices with faces?
Have you given up on your dreams because of your diagnosis and the limitations it sets?
Do you feel like you can’t keep up with the pace of sighted people?
Have you settled for the person you’re with because you feel like you can’t be on your own?
Do you struggle with patience because you’re on everybody else’s clock and can never be spontaneous or independent?
I can relate.
If you said yes to any of the above, it’s probably because:
despite the patience you’re supposed to possess,
the courage your family tells you is needed,
and the compassion you feel from others…
You’re only human and have your pride, your desire for independence, and your dreams.
Vision loss has affected almost all aspects of my life. There are things I wish I could still do, but no longer can because I have extreme challenges seeing.
These are daily reminders of what I lost.
I wish I could read the monitor at a karaoke bar and **sing any song I want to** without having to memorize the lines.
I wish I could **always see the person I’m talking to** rather than only being able to see them in specific lighting.
I wish I could look at a menu and be able to **read all the creative descriptions** rather than just ordering the “safe” bet.
I wish I could **say to my friends, “I’ll drive”** and be able to return the favor once in awhile.
I wish I could see **the truly vibrant colors of a sunset.**
I wish I could **see things in the dark** instead of nervously feeling my way around.
I wish I could **see people’s reactions** to my words or read their body language.
I wish I could **see myself clearly in the mirror.**
I wish I could still **drive at night**…
The day my car stood still
When my vision loss made it difficult for me to drive, I was devastated. I loved the freedom my car provided and I enjoyed driving at night, but I could no longer see. I tried to compromise by avoiding nighttime driving but still allowed myself to drive during the day.
My commute home from work became a race against the sunset.
The close call
One day, I was driving home when a sudden blur streaked in front of my car and bumped the hood. I slammed on my brakes, terrified. I opened my door to face two strangers who rushed to my side to see if I was okay.
Yes, they said, someone had indeed hit my car. It was a thief who had just robbed a store. He bumped off the hood and kept running. They were surprised I hadn’t seen him run away.
The gift from an unknown thief
My body filled with relief that I hadn’t hurt anyone. But I was still terrified that I could have.
I knew I never wanted to feel such doubt and fear again. I decided right then that I wanted to be responsible and safe, and if that meant giving up the ability to drive, so be it. I realized I had been living my life in a constant state of fear and stress, waiting for something terrible to happen. I didn’t want to risk injuring myself or anyone else so that was the day my car finally stood still for good.
The unknown thief had given me an incredible gift.
By the time I had my “accident,” fear had become a way of life and I was tired of it. That’s when I realized that running from it only made things harder.
I had to lose my sight to see past fear.
This was a huge moment for me. When I got home, I took my keys and placed them in my desk drawer. I leaned against the wall, hesitant. I knew I was making the right decision, but I hated losing such a freedom. I took a deep breath, shut the drawer for good, and walked away.
I felt myself relax in a way I had never known.
And that was just the beginning…
Once I saw past fear, I continued to have remarkable insights.
I realized that there were golden nuggets buried in each intimidating, miserable, and heartbreaking experience. You just had to look for them.
I discovered that if you know how to not let your fears and doubts get in your way, you can be an unstoppable force.
I understood more fully what it meant to bring about what you think about, and why that’s so important.
These are just some of the remarkable gifts I want to share with you.
Since the day I realized that fear was controlling my life and I freed myself from its grasp, I have let nothing stop me. I created my company, Living Full Out, because that’s **how I’ve learned to live my life.**

"Nancy helped me realize that my life was more than just my visual impairment. With her help, I found my true calling as a teacher’s assistant and I wake up every day excited and ready to live my life full out." - Stacy Bailey
Just because you’ve lost your sight doesn’t mean you can’t fulfill your vision.
Let me tell you a secret.
If you could count the number of people who **are disabled by their thoughts and doubts alone**, that number would be staggeringly higher than the number of people suffering from vision loss. **The root of our problems does not stem from our vision loss, but from our perception of self.**
So…
Do you ante up and put it all on the table?
Or do you fold early and let fear hold you back?
At Living Full Out, we place our bet on YOU and the great life we know you deserve!
